Bespoke Canoe Leader Training
Our Canoe Leader Training is a bespoke 1 to 5 day training course for those who want to learn or improve personal paddling and leadership skills to lead groups in grade 2 (3) moving water and/or open water in up to force 4 winds 500m from the shore.
This course can be 1:1 or in groups of up to 4.
The course will be tailored to the needs of the aspirant leader and can include:
*Personal Paddling Skills
*Leadership Skills
*Group Management
*Safety and Rescue

Paddle UK Whitewater Canoe Leader Assessment - Moderate Water
The Moderate Whitewater Canoe Leader Assessment is a 1 Day assessment course for those who want to lead groups in grade 2 (3) moving water
The Assessment Criteria Includes:
*Personal Paddling Skills
*Leadership Skills
*Group Management
*Safety and Rescue
Pre-requisites for Assessment:
* Relevant whitewater safety & rescue training
* Recognised 2 day first aid training
* Leadership Registration via Paddle UK
* 16 years of age or older.
*Valid Safe Guarding Training

Paddle UK Openwater Canoe Leader Assessment - Moderate Water
The Moderate Openwater Canoe Leader Assessment is a 1 Day assessment course for those who want to lead groups in open water in up to force 4 winds, 500m from the shore.
The Assessment Criteria Includes:

*Leadership Skills
*Group Management
*Safety and Rescue
Pre-requisites for Assessment:
* Recognised 2 day first aid training
*Valid Safe Guarding Training

Advanced Open Water Canoe Leader Assessment is a 1 Day Assessment in conditions beyond force 4 winds.
Prerequisites for Assessment-
*Leadership Registration via Paddle UK
*Valid First Aid Qualification Appropriate to the award
*Valid Safeguarding Training
*18 years of age or older.
*Full National Association Member

Paddle UK Sea Kayak Leader Training and Assessment - Moderate Water
Sea kayak leader Tidal is a 1 Day Assessment in moderate sea conditions of up to force 4 winds and up to metre of swell/surf.
Prerequisites for Assessment-
*Leadership Registration via Paddle UK
*Coastal navigation and tidal planning
*Valid First Aid Qualification Appropriate to the award
*Valid Safeguarding Training
*16 years of age or older.
